Where should you stay in Amsterdam? Recommended areas and neighborhoods

Amsterdam has long attracted younger travelers who want to experience everything exciting the city has to offer. In recent years, however, an older demographic has also begun to discover the city, and today people from all over the world and of varying ages come to Amsterdam every year.

Westerpark

This pleasant park is one of Amsterdam’s largest. As the name suggests, the park is located in the western part of the city, but with easy access to the center by bike, bus, or tram. In Westerpark, there is always something fun to do. In the summer, it is a gathering place for both locals and tourists who want to enjoy the beautiful weather, play soccer, rounders, or have a picnic with friends and family.

During the winter, the numerous restaurants in the park attract visitors, most of which transform into bars and party venues in the evening.

De Wallen – Red Light District
